Self-introduction

My name is YOSHIMI. Before joining my current company, I studied to become a Japanese language teacher at a university in Kyoto. The university attracted many international students, and Kyoto itself was visited by numerous tourists from abroad (https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2158.html). Although it’s an urban area, it is rich in nature and boasts scenic beauty with many historical cultural assets.

Sprit of “omotenashi”

Living in such a city, I realized that Japanese people highly value their history and have a strong sense of hospitality, showing respect and consideration for others. You might have heard the word “omotenashi(https://omotenashi.fun/omotenashi/point3/)”, which means to wholeheartedly welcome guests, embodying the spirit of the Japanese people.

Type of Japanese

This spirit is also reflected in the Japanese language we use daily. While studying to teach Japanese to foreigners, I encountered the concept of “keigo,” or honorific language. This system expresses respect for others and is known to be particularly complex compared to other languages. Keigo is further divided into three categories: “sonkeigo” (respectful language), “kenjogo” (humble language), and “teineigo” (polite language), each used differently. These distinctions are so intricate that even among Japanese people, there are often discussions about their usage. Keigo is mainly used in business settings, but it can also be found in everyday situations, such as when shopping, where clerks use it with customers, though in a more casual manner compared to corporate interactions. It reflects the Japanese nature of showing respect and always considering others.

Japanese Manners

There is also a Japanese phrase “Okyakusama wa kamisama,” which translates to “The customer is god.” This phrase, coined by a Japanese enka singer, emphasizes the mindset of treating customers with pure and sincere hearts, as if praying to a deity. Unfortunately, some people misunderstand this phrase and make unreasonable demands or act arrogantly towards staff. Originally, it was meant to express the attitude of the staff towards customers. For the store, a customer is just one among many, but the Japanese earnestness and politeness shine through in their aim to be sincere to each individual.

The secret of the high quality of Japanese products

The Japanese spirit of consideration for others is also evident in craftsmanship. Have you heard that Japanese products are known for their high quality? (https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2024-us-vehicle-dependability-study-vds)Compared to other countries, the defect rate of Japanese products is notably low. The dedication to creating products with care, ensuring that buyers do not experience disappointment, and striving for customer satisfaction has been passed down through generations. This spirit of considering others, particularly customers in the business context, contributes to the high quality of Japanese products.

About our popular “gioiello” product

Now, let me introduce our popular product, “gioiello.” “Gioiello” is an Italian word meaning “jewel,” and it is a cosmetics line that includes cleansing oil, face wash, toner, and moisturizer, all manufactured in Japan. Produced in a factory with strict hygiene controls, these products boast high safety standards and undergo rigorous inspections, resulting in a very low defect rate. In Japan, these products are mainly distributed as hotel amenities and are featured in renowned resort hotels. With a refreshing tulip fragrance, they not only pamper your skin but also relax your mind after a tiring trip. The glossy, jewel-like pouches add a touch of elegance to the packaging. Made with natural ingredients, they are gentle on the skin and have been well-received for their comfortable use, with most facilities repeating their orders after trying them once.

About Our Company

Let me tell you a bit about our company. Originally a wholesaler, we established our own factory in 2013 and have since been actively manufacturing cosmetics. Thanks to growing distribution channels and expanding production capacity, our scale continues to grow. If you have visited Japan, you might have unknowingly used our toothbrushes, shampoos, or cosmetics made in our factory. We also focus on new product development and recently launched a new hair oil this year. We maintain close relationships with our customers, attentively listening to their requests, and continuously improving and developing our products.

We hope you will try “gioiello”!

Among the over 20 types of products manufactured at our factory, the “gioiello” series is the most popular. It has received positive feedback from customers who have used it in hotels, with many expressing a desire to continue using it at home. Responding to this demand, we released a 200ml bottle for home use, in addition to the 10ml pouch packaging.

Would you like to experience the resort-like feeling at home with high-quality Japanese cosmetics?
